Omada by TP-Link Delivers Seamless Event Connectivity at Cereals and 2000trees

London, UK – 30th July, 2025 – TP-Link, a leading provider of ISP, business and consumer networking and smart home solutions, partnered with Comms UK and iSpyder to bring fast, reliable Wi-Fi to two major UK events – the Cereals agricultural show and the 2000trees music festival. The MSPs chose the broad range of Omada’s professional networking products to ensure stable connectivity in large, dynamic environments.

At Cereals, the UK’s flagship arable event hosting over 420 leading suppliers, Comms UK provided robust connectivity across 57 exhibitor stalls, backend operations, and visitor areas using the Omada EAP650-Outdoor access point. The 500,000-square-metre site posed significant challenges, including rural deployment and high user density.

Comms UK supported the exhibitors with shared Wi-Fi access, managed through the Omada portal and private satellite connections powered by smart PoE switches and access points. One major exhibitor, KWS, used three EAP650s to deliver open Wi-Fi for visitors to scan barcodes and access crop information.

“We needed a solution that was easy to deploy, reliable in a rural setting, and capable of supporting dozens of exhibitors and staff,” said James Lunnon, Managing Director at Comms UK. “Omada ticked every box: it gave us the performance and flexibility we needed without any complex setups.”

At 2000trees, an award-winning independent rock music festival in Cheltenham attracting approximately 15,000 attendees, iSpyder deployed a comprehensive Omada solution including 50 access points (EAP610-Outdoor and EAP615), 16 network switches (SG3428XMP, SG2005P-PD and SX3016F) and an ER605 router.

Despite the remote location and power fluctuations, the network remained stable, thanks to Omada’s robustness and reliability. Over the weekend, 5,603 users connected to the public Wi-Fi via the captive portal, while vendors, AV teams, and staff relied on the infrastructure for seamless operations.
